Hello Bloggies,

So I thought it would be nice to share with you my AMAZINGGGGG fashion secret. You may already know about this, but if you didn’t your about to have a spazz attack of fashion joy when you find out, as I did. So there is this company called Asos (asos.comus.asos.com if you are in America) and it is just wonderful. They have millions of clothes, all adorable, and very reasonably priced. Did I also mention – shoes, bags, jewelry, tights, accessories ect. ect. ect. The list goes on AND shipping is FREE (yes FREE) from Britain to America. So you get savvy European fashion at exactly the listed price in 10 days. They very closely adapt thousands of runway looks and trends and even allow you to see what they have copied from celebrities. So, if you envy the style of Mrs. Victoria Beckham you can find clothes copied from her wardrobe right there to purchase. I cannot even tell you how many things I have gotten from here and always receive more compliments than I can remember. I am currently toting a black quilted chain bag copy of the Chanel quilted bag that I got for ($24) I may or may not have also bought it in 4 other colors…

The site also puts a streaming video of the model walking on the runway in every item so you can see how it looks on a person and I promise, the quality is actually quite good. Please take a look, I think you will be more than satisfied 🙂

Ta Ta and Ciao for now

Hello Bloggies!

Long time no…read? haha my attempt at a first sentence just kind of failed there. I am back to blogging again after a long break. I hope all of your holidays were swell and full of happiness!! New year, new fashion I always say (and I think I am the only one) so I thought I would kick off with a new segment here on Gisele in the City called Style Star (original, I know ;)). Style Star will consist of a fashion profile on different people who I believe have excellent or unique personal style. As many of you have already figured out, I admire the style of The City star Olivia Palermo. Because her personal style is so close to my own, I thought she would be a fitting candidate to kick start my segment!

On a fun side note, did anyone make any new years resolutions? I’m still working on mine, I’ll let you know when I finally figure them out.

ciao and ta ta for now!

So if you haven’t been able to tell already from the title of my blog…I’m a fan of Sex and the City. I’m talking the t.v. show. The original fab four single gals – Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha. Its probably my favorite show and I thought it was crazy that I have had this blog for half a week and I haven’t done a post on my favorite Carrie Bradshaw outfits of all time! 😉 Should have been my first post. Anywho, here you go ladies! A mega-carrie post with all my favorites – I’m talking the classics, Paris, everything (well at least the outfits I could find pictures of on google!) So here we go – a treat for any other girls who love and miss the show!

Classic Carrie typing an article on her laptop

Big comes back

everyone remember the oversized flowers season??

love this shade of pink

Carries’ “me” day when the museum was closed

One of my favorite outfits in the series – the pink Oscar De La Renta Alexandar bought Carrie for the ballet (love the silver t-strap sandals!)

Remember the newspaper dress after the affair?

Finale mega roll?? I think yes

one of my favorite outfits from Paris finale

what am I kidding? every outfit in Paris was amazing – here we go with the finale roll

From last episode with Big to first date : the naked dress

And I end with the last but definitely not the least:

told you I meant a mega post! 😉

Hello Again Bloggies!

I am back once again and this time to discuss one of this winter’s most prominent trends (especially in the cities) – the fur vest. Now, I am not an advocate for fur, so I am going to have to side with going for faux fur. This trend is so in right now and there are a lot of beautiful faux fur alternatives to the real thing. But regardless of my opinion on the matter, lets talk about this trend! Now black fur vests have come full force this season and are really quite chic. I prefer them styled a la Ms. Palermo, one of my style icons in the first photo, with some leather leggings and an all black look. Brown faux fur vests are also in style and can look quite chic if styled correctly.

Whether styled like Elle:

Or two of my fave stylistas MK & A

You cannot go wrong…unless you pull one of these:

She may be fabulous, but her faux fur is not

All kidding aside, reasonably priced vests can be found all over, but I particularly love this one sold by Victorias Secret:

Tis The Season once again for….

Creamy White Coats and….

Icelandic Sweaters with leggings and faux fur

The holidays are truly the most wonderful time of the year. And despite my general disdain for cold weather, I do love transitioning into (some) winter fashion 😉

I was perusing this past Fall’s collections, for now is the time that we can actually put some of those trends into good use. For example, the Icelandic sweater that took center stage at D&G. This print has forever been a staple at “bad Christmas sweater” parties but leave it to the geniuses at D&G to make it fabulously enviable! The prints are beautiful, the colors complementary, the fur sparsely added for a chic statement. When I first watched the show months ago, I immediately wanted to jump to December, grab my Icelandic mini-sweater dress and oversize chunky knit scarf, and fly away to a ski lodge in Aspen.

Now is the time when we can actually do such a thing..for the weather outside is frightful but the snow is so delightful. Although, I know few who could actually just jet off to Aspen on a moments notice with a new D&G sweater, but hey, we can dream can’t we?? 🙂

Happy Holidays everyone! I’ll be doing more holiday posts soon with more than just fashion (gift ideas on a budget, food, decorations ect.) but for now I leave you with visions of Dolce and Gabbana dancing in your heads… 😉

Ta Ta for now and Ciao!

Street Style

street style, classic

Hi everyone!!

This is my first post for my new blog Gisele in the City! I am very excited about this blog and thought I would take a minute to discuss what it is about. Short and sweet, I love fashion – always have always will. I am a religious follower of designer collections and love adapting the looks on a lower budget! A city is a great place to discover and see fashion at its best, which is why I am devoting my blog to not only fashion in general but fashion inspired by particular cities. That being said, I could not think of a better first post than street style, because what’s more city than street style?? 🙂 I am starting us off with a look that I love via the city of lights. This is a model in Paris rocking the forever classic mens-wear blazer and navy blue and white striped tee. Matched with some skinny dark jeans and black boots she looks forever chic! I know this is a quick post and I will put more pictures in later.
